Earlier is better. Fall and spring can fill up fast, especially around yearbook deadlines, graduation announcements and the end of senior year. Booking early also gives us better location and light options.

Yes. Parents book senior sessions all the time. The best version is when the parent handles the logistics but the senior still gets a real say in the location, outfits and overall vibe. These photos are documenting their life, so they should get a say in how they look.

There are two payment options: you can pay 50% at the time of booking and the other 50% the week before your session, or you can pay in full at the time of booking. Your session isn't considered officially on the calendar until the first payment is received, so make sure you make payment when you've finished the online booking process.

Senior sessions are two hours. That's generally enough time to get a great variety of shots without feeling like it's "too long". That means portraits for parents, personality shots for the senior, outfit changes if needed and enough breathing room to keep things relaxed. Keep in mind that drive time between locations and outfit changes count toward the 2 hours, so you'll want to keep locations close and limit your outfits to two or three at most. Want to add a third location or have more time to allow for more outfit changes? You can book additional hours at $200/hr.

Beaches, parks, fields, downtown areas, school-adjacent spots, family property or anywhere that fits the senior’s personality. If you already have a location in mind, great! If not, I can help with suggestions.

Usually, yes, as long as the location is accessible to the public (or you can arrange permission). Some schools have rules about when and where photos can happen, so it's worth checking if you want photos on campus.

Yes, as long as the locations are close enough to make sense within the session time. Two nearby spots can work great but if one location is more than ten or fifteen minutes from the other, then you'll be wasting a lot of your shooting time, because drive time between locations is subtracted from your 2 hours.

Later afternoon and early evening usually give the best light. Midday can work in some locations, but harsh sun is not always flattering. We're looking for nice, even lighting, which makes everything easier. Think 3p and later. The golden hour (about 45 minutes before official sunset) is also a popular time to shoot.

I cover my own parking fees, with the exception of any location that requires more than standard street parking fees. For example, if a private parking lot has higher fees than standard parking, then you will have to cover that, but city street parking is included.

You can shoot in one outfit or one outfit plus your cap & gown or multiple outfits. As long as they fit your vibe, I'd suggest at least one outfit that feels polished/upscale, one that feels more like you, and one backup option or fun outfit. Wearing what you feel comfortable in is best, but for at least one outfit, wear something that speaks to your personality: serious, professional, flirty, fun, athletic, goth, skater, surfer, cosplayer, fashionista, dancer, etc. You can also get some shots in your team uniform: football, cheer, swim, basketball, volleyball, track, etc. Any team you were part of during high school, even community teams.

If you have a cap, gown, stole, cord, letterman jacket or anything school-related you want photographed, bring it! We can get the classic shots and then move into photos with more personality.

Absolutely. Sports gear, instruments, books, flowers, a car, a skateboard, hobby items or anything personal to you can work.

That is completely optional. The goal is to look like a polished version of yourself, not like a different person. If hair or makeup helps you feel confident, great. If not, keep it simple and comfortable.

Usually, yes. Bring treats, a leash and someone who can hold the dog when they are not in the photo. Also make sure the location allows dogs.

Absolutely. Clean portraits, smiling photos and frameable images are standard. Parents will get photos they can love without the senior being forced into a fake version of themselves.

Yes. That is the point. Senior portraits should show personality, not just prove you owned nice clothes for one afternoon.

Yes. We can get a few family photos, parent photos or sibling shots, then shift the focus back to the senior.

Yes, especially if having a friend there helps you relax. Just know the session is still centered on the senior who booked it.

That is normal. You do not need to know how to pose. I’ll direct you through it, fix the weird hand problem, watch the angles and keep things moving so you are not standing there wondering what to do with your face.

No. We will get some smiling photos because parents tend to enjoy proof that their child is happy, but we can also do serious, relaxed, playful and more editorial-looking shots.

If the weather is actually bad enough to ruin the session, we reschedule. If it is just cloudy, that can photograph beautifully. The goal is good photos, not forcing a bad shoot just because it was on the calendar.

Wind can be annoying, but it is not always a dealbreaker. We can work with it, adjust angles, choose protected spots or reschedule if it is genuinely going to wreck the session.

Let me know as soon as possible. A few minutes usually is not a disaster. Being very late can reduce shooting time, especially when we are chasing sunset light.

Usually, yes, within reason. Weather, illness, school events and real-life chaos happen. The earlier you communicate, the easier it is to find a new date.

Some areas are included and some locations may require a travel fee. If your location is outside the usual service area, I’ll confirm any added cost before the session.

Standard delivery is within seven business days. You will receive a curated online gallery with professionally edited images ready for download, sharing and print ordering.

The exact number depends on the session, but the goal is a strong finished gallery with variety. You will not receive every test shot, blink or duplicate. You will receive the good stuff.

Editing includes color, contrast, exposure, cropping and polish. Temporary blemishes are fine to clean up. The goal is not to turn you into a different human.

Sometimes, but yearbook requirements vary by school. If your school has specific size, background or file rules, send those details before the session so we know what needs to be captured.

Yes. Your finished gallery will be suitable for personal printing. You can order through the gallery when available or download the files and print elsewhere.

Yes. Posting your senior photos online is expected. Credit is appreciated, especially if you are tagging schools, vendors or other people involved.

Yes. The online gallery makes it easy to share photos with parents or relatives so they can view, download or order prints depending on the gallery settings.

Rush delivery may be available depending on the schedule. If you need photos for announcements, a party, a yearbook deadline or graduation, bring that up before the session.
