I think it was 2020. That year was kind of a blur, lol.
Hi. I'm Namu.
I've been photographing people professionally since 2006 and on California's Central Coast since 2020.
I love photographing humans. Families. Graduates. Nightlife. Couples. Business owners. Weddings. Musicians. Models. Friends. If you're a human, you're my kind of people, lol.
I'm bald, I've got a big belly, a beard I'm too lazy to dye most of the time, and a penchant for lollipops.
Also, if you've made it this far, you've probably noticed I don't take myself too seriously. The photos, though? I take those deadly seriously. OK, maybe not that seriously. But pretty seriously.

The most-talked about, most-shared, most-loved photos are almost always the quirky, fun, in-the-moment shots...and that's exactly how I roll.
I am GREAT at
- helping awkward, uncomfortable people be a little less awkward and uncomfortable.
- giving direction! Unless you don't want direction, then I'll just aim my camera at you and hold still while you struggle to find a cool pose.
- eating sushi. In fact, I've even been known to trade a portrait session for a sushi dinner. I might be addicted to sushi.
- making dumb jokes that are kind of funny. Please laugh.
- wrangling kids. And by "wrangling," I mean letting them run around until they accidentally cooperate.
- giving handshakes! And then when you walk away I immediately hit my hands with a half gallon of hand sanitizer. No offense! I just have to shake a LOT of hands.

Full disclosure: (in my best Miranda Cosgrove voice) I actually do use ChatGPT a little. Not for writing - that's all me. I use it mostly to check grammar, tighten phrasing, or vet my ideas. I'd use it for the actual writing, but it always tries to slip in jokes...and y'all, they are NOT funny.
