A better way to crawl.

SLO Club Crawl will be a one-of-a-kind social experience that includes a professionally guided tour through downtown SLO’s nightlife scene, socializing with a group of fun, high-energy people, a VIP-style all-access wristband and best of all, a professional event photographer who follows the group throughout the night, capturing beautiful photos at every venue.

WHY WILL OUR CRAWL BE BETTER?

Because we handle all the hard parts of creating and managing an epic night out...AND we give out beautiful photos.

Guests don't have to figure out where to go, when to move, how to get in or who to hang out with, and they get access to something no other crawls give - a guaranteed gallery of professional photos the very next day. Easy-peasy.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Looking for the right co-host!

I'm Namu, and my background makes me uniquely qualified to build a fun, safe and polished nightlife experience like SLO Club Crawl. I've been part of the nightlife industry since I was 17 years old, spent thirteen years as a bouncer and head of security in the SF Bay Area and have worked as a resident photographer at some of the largest clubs in Northern California. I'm currently the resident photographer at The Mark.

SLO Club Crawl is built to be a two-person operation. One person leads the guest experience. One person handles photography, venue coverage, safety awareness and event support. Together, we keep the night organized, social and fun.

Assistant Host, Photographer

01

You're the main host and face of the crawl.

You handle check-in, wristbands, timing, guest communication, group energy and keeping the night fun and running well from start to finish.

02

I'm your backup host and the crawl photographer.

I handle photography (guests, venues, ambience), supporting you along the route, and making sure everyone stays safe.

03

We split the profits right down the middle.

Teamwork makes the dream work! Revenue is split fairly, the workload is shared and the goal is to build something repeatable.

Are you the right person to complement my skillset?

In addition to our crawl duties, we both will be running the business. I bring the creative engine: concept, photography, branding, presentation, marketing ideas and nightlife experience. I’m looking for someone who brings the operational engine: organization, follow-through, scheduling, and admin. Basically someone who has strong business instincts who is also outgoing, friendly and good with people.

Path to co-ownership

SLO Club Crawl is my original business concept and brand, but I’m open to co-ownership with the right partner. If we run three successful crawls together and both feel like the partnership is working, we can talk about a 51/49 co-ownership structure.

THE VENUE EQUATION

It's a super easy yes for the venues.

Venues get a small, energetic but managed group of paying customers arriving at a scheduled time, buying their own drinks at full price and helping build the room’s energy, and much more.

What venues provide

  • Free entry to all crawl guests
  • Line-skipping
  • In-and-out privileges
  • Collaborative social media marketing

What venues receive

Scheduled traffic, bar sales, room energy, visibility and professional photo content delivered next day for social media, promotion and general venue marketing.

packed venue atmosphere, polished event photography, warm highlights
bartender pouring drinks, lively background, shallow depth of field
candid group laughing at a table, flash nightlife look
Proposed route

Four stops, increasing energy.

The route starts with easy social engagement, moves into pub energy, builds some interactive activity, then finishes with a bang - skipping the massive line at the most popular dance club in SLO.

Documentation

Patron-facing documents and expectations.

Pro tip for patrons: Brief door waits may happen because of capacity, ID checks, dress code review, security flow, staff coordination or other venue-controlled issues. Venue security retains final authority.

Why photography matters here

The photos aren't just a perk. They're part of the business model.

The gallery gives guests a reason to remember and share the night, while the venue and crawl accounts get polished content for future marketing. Every successful run should generate proof that the next run is worth buying into.

The photography alone is a significant value add and a unique benefit no other crawls offer. Each run creates professional nightlife images venues can use for social media and promotion without having to book or pay for separate coverage. The venue is not just getting guests in the room, they're getting energy, drink sales, collaborative marketing, repeated promotion and professional photo assets that would normally cost hundreds of dollars on their own.

DO THE NUMBERS WORK?

Small initial costs, minimal costs to maintain.

$800
a night
Estimated gross revenue assuming 20 guests x $40 With roughly $100 in immediate per-run costs, the first 20-person run likely lands around $700 before 50/50 partner split. not counting ongoing costs like insurance or marketing.

Expected costs

  • Ticketing and payment processing fees
  • Wristbands
  • Basic printed materials
  • Insurance allocation once quoted
  • Marketing costs

Scaling advantage

As the event scales to 25 or 30 or more people, added revenue is mostly profit because there are very few per-person costs.

Launch plan

The first run should be small, controlled and easy to evaluate.

  1. Confirm venue participation.
  2. Lock in wristband benefits.
  3. Confirm the Feral staging area.
  4. Create the ticket page.
  5. Prepare the guest agreement.
  6. Get insurance quoted.
  7. Build a simple photo-driven landing page.
  8. Prepare sample nightlife images for venue pitches.

Variations!

Thursday could be its own special event route.

During summer, when the sun goes down later, a Thursday special event route could start at Farmers’ Market. Thursday is actually the busiest nightlife night of the week in downtown SLO. Additional unique event nights could be holiday weekends (Halloween, St. Patty's Day, Cinco De Mayo, etc), dating nights, slow down nights (cocktail bars and smaller venues without loud music), all at a higher price point.

packed stylish bar crowd, photographer flash, downtown nightlife energy
Final positioning

A $40 curated Saturday night social experience through downtown SLO.

There's nothing like it in San Luis Obispo County - no competition, a built-in tourist and college market with popular local nightlife venues. Easier marketing, lower cost of entry and a clear two-role operating model built around hosting, access, social energy and professional photography. What's not to love?
