Last Friday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the new mayor of San Luis Obispo, Erica Stewart and her fun and welcoming family! To her awesome husband Shay, thank you for coordinating and chauffeuring us around that lovely space - the ride was almost as fun as the photoshoot, lol.
If you don't know of her already, Mayor Stewart is worth knowing. She's a champion of housing for all, improving transportation issues, the environment, creating more engaged communities and developing a more diverse landscape across SLO. She makes me excited about city issues again. She's also part of a historic local government, where both the mayor and all the city council members are women! Hella exciting!
