I approach diversity the same way I approach my business as a whole – with a focus on integrity and inclusivity. I have a strong history of hiring and contracting with BIPOC, women and members of the LGBT+ community, along with a consistent track record of referring business I can’t handle to BIPOC, female or LGBT+ owned or led companies. In addition, my son is half-Asian and I am part of the LGBT+ community.
When photographing events, I also make a concerted effort to photograph members of the BIPOC/LGBT or other marginalized groups more because I fully believe that young people need to grow up seeing others who look like them in exciting events, in leadership roles and living happy, healthy lives, as often as possible.
My overall business mantra is INCLUDE, ENCOURAGE and BE OPEN.
