I firmly believe in giving back to my community. I don't often have the money to donate, so instead I donate my professional services. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find another photographer anywhere in California who donates their services as much as I do (but I'd love to meet them if you do!).
Here's my 2022 volunteer wrap up, y'all!
Number of times I donated my photography services to people or organizations on the central coast in 2022: eighty six times. That's an average of 1.6 donations every single week for the whole year!
Number of donations by group type: school (23), city/community (20), local small business (19), family (14), non-profit (4), other (4), political (1), individual (1)
Top four recipients by number of donations: Paulding Middle School (7), City of Arroyo Grande (7), Delta High School (6), City of Grover Beach (6)
Though I've been struggling to get new clients since I moved here, I'm proud of the fact that I still kept up my service donations even when money was very tight, because the people and groups I donated to are deserving of all the help we can give them.
